Allied Aid is a grassroots organization working to identify and meet the critical needs of refugees stranded in Greece. We have three primary focus areas: Bulk aid distribution; seasonal campaigns; and field trips. Allied Aid volunteers work closely with organizations on-the-ground to help identify, fund and orchestrate a wide variety of projects in refugees camps throughout Greece.
With the help of our van “Hermie,” Allied Aid regularly coordinates and distributes aid to refugee camps around Greece.
These campaigns meet seasonal needs: Sunscreen and brimmed hats in the summer; special food in recognition of religious holidays; shoes and underwear in the fall; or gloves and knit caps in the winter.
Working with organizations closest to the refugee crisis is a critical component to what we do.
